My Version
The “My Version” feature uses a control date to track the version of an agency’s NIGP Code information.
Update option
When you choose the Update option, the NIGP system will set the download
version date to the current date.
Example: Suppose your existing version date is 06-13-2001. By choosing the Update
option during a new download, you will update your version date to the current date
(for example, “07-01-2001”). The NIGP system will now recognize 07-01-2001 as your version date, and
you will be able to download only data changed on 07-01-2001 and beyond.
Do Not Update option
When you choose the Do Not Update option, the NIGP system will not reset your
existing version date to the new download date. You will be able to download
data changed after the existing version date and beyond.
