To search the NIGP Commodity Code by one or more keywords in the commodity
description, complete the following procedures:
1. Log into the NIGP.com website.
2. Click the Keyword Search link, found on the NIGP Search menu on the navigation bar.
3. In the Keyword Search field, type the word(s) you would like to search by. For
example, “truck” or ”motor” to search for automotive or mechanical type items.
4. Click Perform Search to display the results of your commodity code search.
5. Commodity codes matching the search criteria are returned.
